Slide Valve: Manual Type SS

This range of fully enclosed slide valves for the control of gravity fed powders and granules features corrosion resistant cast aluminium alloy bodies with 304 stainless steel slide plates and inlet bores as standard.
The slide plate runs on nylon 66 supports mounted on eccentric stainless steel pins for adjustment. Both versions use the same body and are dust-tight to atmosphere, even when handling very fine materials.
Inlet and outlet flanges are drilled M10 and spaced to ANSI 150lb as standard. Alternative flange specifications to customer requirements can also be supplied.
Maximum operating temperature is 80°C, or 150°C to special order. These valves are also available in all stainless steel for applications where aluminium is not suitable. They are not designed to close through a static column of material.
Screw Valve Type SS uses a double start stainless steel acme screw with a nylon 66 nut to move the slide plate. Operation can be via handwheel or chainwheel. As well as acting as a shut-off valve, it is ideal for metering material flow in partially open or closed positions.
