This range of slide valves for powders and granules features corrosion-resistant cast aluminium bodies with 304 stainless steel slide plates. The slide plate runs on nylon 66 supports mounted on eccentric stainless steel pins for adjustment.
Pneumatic and screw variants share the same body design and can be readily interchanged. The valve includes lodgement-free internals with a nylon scraper and seal arrangement to ensure virtually leak-free operation.
Inlet and outlet flanges are drilled and tapped to DIN PN10 or ANSI 150lbs as standard. Maximum operating temperature is 80°C, or 150°C to special order. Versions in all stainless steel are available for applications where aluminium is not suitable.
A modified version allows the valve to cut through a static column of all but the most difficult materials.
Screw Valve Type AS operates via a double start stainless steel acme screw with a nylon 66 nut and can be fitted with either a hand crank or chainwheel. It can be used as a shut-off valve and is also ideal for metering material flow in partially open or closed positions.
