The Model SS automatic sampler is a pneumatically operated device designed to obtain representative samples of powders and granules from a wide range of sampling locations.
The sampler features a corrosion-resistant aluminium body with a precision-ground 316 stainless steel sample tube and polyethylene-based seals. Operation is provided by a pneumatic cylinder controlled by a single solenoid valve.
During operation, the pneumatic cylinder extends the sample tube into the product flow. A slotted opening in the tube allows product to enter while pressure is equalised, enabling the sample to discharge under gravity to the collection point.
Once the required sample has been collected, the tube retracts from the product stream, leaving the collection point fully isolated from the process flow.
