The Model PSS automatic sampler is a pneumatically operated device designed to provide representative samples of powders and granules from lean or dense phase pneumatic conveying lines.
The sampler features a corrosion-resistant aluminium body with a precision-ground 316 stainless steel sample tube and polyethylene-based seals. Operation is provided by a pneumatic cylinder controlled by a single 5/2 solenoid valve.
During operation, the sample tube extends into the conveying line, fills with product, and then retracts. The sampled material is discharged under gravity, assisted by captured air pressure, to the collection point.
A double-seal arrangement ensures the sample catchment area remains fully isolated from the collection point during operation. Rapid cycling of the sample tube allows large sample volumes to be collected efficiently.
