Rotary Valve: Type DRV
- Designed for discharging filters and cyclones
- Direct-drive fixed-speed rotor
- Robust cast iron body
- Square inlet and round outlet flanges
- Eight-blade closed-end rotor
- Cost-effective solution
DRV rotary valves are designed to discharge powders and granules from filters and cyclones. This single-specification, low-cost range is engineered to maintain high sealing and feeding efficiency under arduous operating conditions.
The valves feature robust cast iron bodies with stiffening ribs to prevent distortion under load. Integral shear planes at the inlet reduce product shearing loads, while square inlets and round outlets allow connection to a wide range of equipment.
Rotors are fabricated from mild steel with closed ends, eight blades, and heavy-duty shafts to withstand the differential pressures typical of filter and cyclone applications.
Valve endplates are spigot-located to ensure concentricity and fitted with inboard lip-type shaft seals and ball bearings. Drive is provided by a worm-geared motor flange-mounted to the valve endplate and directly coupled to the rotor shaft.
