Rotary Valve: Fabricated Rotary Valves

  • Standard sizes from 125mm to 600mm
  • Non-standard sizes available
  • Suitable for non-abrasive products
  • Mild steel or stainless steel construction

Britton Procol standard fabricated rotary valves are designed for use with low-density products such as wood shavings, wood dust, and textile fibres. They provide an economical solution for applications requiring high feed rates of lightweight materials.

The valve body is fabricated from sheet steel and fitted with a six-blade rotor with replaceable polyurethane or insertion rubber blades. Drive is provided by a worm-geared motor flange-mounted to the valve endplate and directly coupled to the rotor shaft.

Capacities for standard fabricated rotary valves are identical to those of equivalent cast rotary valves. Special variants are available for moderately aggressive products such as fibreglass strands or filled WC granules.

For specialist applications, the valve body can be fabricated from abrasion-resistant steel with special rubber blades. Fabricated rotary valves are available in standard sizes and in non-standard configurations up to a maximum rotor size of 1000mm × 2500mm.
