Iris diaphragm valves operate on a principle similar to the iris of a camera, providing smooth and controlled opening and closing for powders and granular materials.
Valves are manufactured in cast aluminium, 304 stainless steel, or 316 stainless steel. Diaphragm materials are selected to suit the application and include nylon, polyurethane-coated nylon, food-grade latex rubber, and food-grade silicone rubber.
An optional guide sleeve can be fitted through the valve orifice to prevent direct contact between the product and the diaphragm, extending diaphragm service life.
Type DL
The Type DL design incorporates an intermediate flange positioned within the tubular diaphragm. This flange rotates through 180 degrees while the outer flanges remain stationary, providing double locking of the diaphragm. The stationary bottom flange allows the valve to be installed inline.
The valve is also available with pneumatic operation fitted, supplied with a PU-coated nylon diaphragm as standard.
